Data Deletion Instructions

Effective 30 October 2026

You can ask us to delete the personal information Stoka holds about you at any time. This includes information connected to WhatsApp messages sent to you through Stoka.

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request".
2. Include your full name, the phone or WhatsApp number we hold for you, and the business or school you deal with.
3. We may contact you on that number to confirm the request comes from you.

What happens next

• We confirm receipt within 3 working days.
• Within 30 days we delete or anonymise your personal details (name, contact numbers, address and message history) from our server, and the deletion syncs to the business's devices.
• We email or message you once it is done.

Some accounting records, such as invoices already issued to you, may have to be kept for the period Zimbabwean tax law requires. Where that applies, we keep only what the law requires and remove everything else.

Stop WhatsApp messages only

If you only want to stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message, or ask the business or school that sent it to turn messaging off for you.

Businesses closing a Stoka account

A business that stops using Stoka can email [email protected] from its registered address to have all of its data removed from our server.
